Finance Manager

Salary: £25-28K pro rata

Hours: Part time – 3 full days a week (22 hours per week)

Location: Chilworth, Southampton

With this patented technology our client has developed, it will result in considerable reductions in water and energy usage, which is hugely attractive to both commercial and domestic users. Significant plans are in place for global growth, making this an outstanding opportunity for a Design Engineer to play a key role in the growth of this exciting organisation.

The Role:

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the candidate will be responsible for the day to day financial management of the company, producing financial reports and managing the company’s finances ensuring all finance related processes are adhered to and financial transactions properly and completely recorded.

Key Responsibilities:

▪ Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company: Sales, Purchases, Expenses and other transactions; Ensure all financial transactions are properly filed and input to the accounting system to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and to facilitate the preparation of monthly cash flow analysis;

▪ Preparing cash payment reports and controlling debtor collections;

▪ Manage the day-to-day recording of stock movements and regular (minimum monthly) reconciliation to physical stock holding working closely with the stock manager;

▪ Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement; ▪ Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software;

▪ Develop and maintain financial policies and business processes ensuring compliance with key financial controls by all employees;

▪ Be aware of all financial regulations and legislation and ensure compliance;

Skills/Experience:

▪ Degree, or appropriate qualifications in Accounting.

▪ Good working knowledge of Xero beneficial.

▪ Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

▪ Previous experience in a financial role.

▪ Excellent mathematical skills.

▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

▪ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

▪ Strong attention to detail.

▪ Excellent organisation and planning skills.

▪ Ability to identify problem areas and present appropriate solutions.

▪ Ability to prioritise work load.

Design Engineer

Salary: £20-25K (dependent on experience)

Hours: Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours)

Location: Chilworth, Southampton

Significant plans are in place for global growth, making this an outstanding opportunity for a Design Engineer to play a key role in the growth of this exciting organisation.

The Role:

To support the design and development of new products in line with the Company’s product development plans, reporting to the Design Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

▪ Ensure both budgetary and time scale targets are adhered to on a project by project basis. ▪ Communicate with both internal/external business partners in the implementation and execution of engineering projects.

▪ Identification of engineering opportunities to improve business performance.

▪ Collate appropriate data, analyse and determine actions necessary to improve product performance, reliability, while reducing material cost and labour. ▪ Any other reasonable demand required by the business.

▪ Manage 2D and 3D drawing library.

Skills/Experience:

▪ Experienced in 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk Inventor + Vault) and associated analytical software tools.

▪ Experience of Finite Element Analysis and rapid prototyping would be of benefit. ▪ Relevant work experience a benefit but not essential.

▪ Comfortable to work within a lab environment to prototyping and test components.

▪ Ideally degree qualified with a product design / mechanical engineering qualification.

▪ Strong engineering skill set. A working knowledge of several electronic/mechanical areas, plastics, metal, tooling and manufacturing processes.

▪ Ability to control work packages through use of supplier, internal and external facilities.

▪ The ability to work within a team environment and have the ability to use individual initiative.

▪ Confident communicator. Able to present through all mediums effectively at all levels within the business and externally.

▪ Data driven. Looking for root-cause solutions supported with facts.

▪ Capable of controlling several projects.

Sales and Marketing Exec

Salary:                      up to £25K depending on experience

Hours:                       40 hours a week

Location:                  Chilworth, Southampton

The Role:

Reporting to the CMO, the primary purpose of the role is to support the sales and marketing team with new business generation activity, predominantly using the BiP Solutions Lead Tracking Platform, an online tender management portal.

Key Responsibilities

-Accountable for the day to day use of the BiP Solutions Lead Tracking Platform, identifying, filtering and actioning opportunities to tender for new business.

-Preparing tender documents in conjunction with the Business Development Manager

-Updating the internal CRM system (Insightly.com) with appropriate notes

-Conducting market research using open source web tools

-Attending relevant trade exhibitions

-Writing monthly blog articles for the Kelda website

-Any other reasonable demand required by the business.


Skills/ Experience Required – Essential

-Computer literate, with experience of MS suite of products

-The ability to work within a team environment and have the ability to use individual initiative.

-Confident communicator. Able to present through all mediums effectively at all levels within the business and externally.

-Data driven and meticulous in accurate record keeping

-Capable of managing multiple sales and marketing projects simultaneously

-A second European language would be a distinct advantage

Electronics Engineer

Salary:                      £35K

Hours:                       40 hours a week

Location:                  Chilworth, Southampton

The Role:

Kelda Technology has an exciting new opportunity for an Electronics Engineer. The role will be to develop and improve current electronic capabilities within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

– Primarily working on hardware design but may also work on firmware/software or work with dedicated software engineers. Involved in new design projects as well as support to existing production and other areas of the company.

– Document design work and prepare reports, ensuring design files and information are kept up to date and stored in accordance with company procedures.

– Carry out detailed electronic circuit design, including simulation and design verification testing of the new design.

– Select new parts, taking into consideration obsolescence, availability and cost.

– Prepare and present electronic designs to other members of the design team at design reviews.

Skills/ Experience Required – Essential

– Degree in electronic engineering or similar subject

– Experience in a similar role

– Must be experienced in the development of electro/mechanical product

– From an electro/mechanical background, ideally within the appliance or installation industry

– Experience within a design / laboratory environment would be an advantage.

Desirable

– Previous experience within the water, shower or domestic or commercial appliance industries.
